Paid for by Dan Ferraro for School Board
I believe that schools must reflect the values of the communities they serve, and that parents have both the right and the responsibility to play a central role in their child’s education.
My career in education began 25 years ago as a substitute teacher in the Philadelphia area. Initially drawn to flexibility while exploring career options, I quickly discovered a deep passion for teaching. This passion led me to pursue a full-time path in education, including work with a growing educational staffing company where I served in multiple roles such as recruiter, consultant, and Director of Credentialing. .
After relocating to the Shenandoah Valley, I earned a Master’s degree in Special Education from Mary Baldwin University. Since then, I have served as a Special Education teacher in Augusta County, Harrisonburg City, and Albemarle County. Most recently, I’ve worked as a National Special Education Teacher for a leading provider of virtual education, supporting students across the country.
As both a parent and an educator, I am deeply committed to the success and well-being of our children. I will work to ensure that Augusta County schools provide a safe, and high-quality education for every student—with a strong emphasis on academic excellence and expanding opportunities in vocational and career-based learning.
I will always put you, the parent, first and promise to be your voice on the School Board, not a part of the establishment.
I will always be available and accountable to you, the voter. My full contact info is:
